| Colorado Film Incentives Bill - Details | |
House Bill 12-1286 will boost the current Colorado film incentives from 10% to 20%, as well as provide a state guarantee for a senior bank loan for production companies (the first of it's kind in the country). The proposed new bill will dedicate $3 million (currently about $400,000) to use for the incentive tax breaks. It will now also require 50% of the workforce to be from Colorado (up from 25%). In-state production companies will still have to spend at least $100,000 to qualify, and out-of-state companies will have to spend at least $1,000,000 (currently only $250,000) to receive the incentive rebates.
