Boulder Ballet presents the BB Dance Film Fest both virtually and in person in an evening of dance sure to uplift! Twenty-one films have been selected for presentation by adjudicators from across the world including Italy, Korea, the UK, Germany and Australia. This collection of films crosses a wide range of genres from classical ballet, Afro-Fusion, contemporary and more, and will instill in viewers the profound emotions of the times. The medium of film allows for a truly creative performance; space, costuming, light, and camera work add a layer of depth to choreography that expands the genre of dance to new heights. Choreographers included are Jennifer Archibald (honorable mention), Max Levy, Angel Kaba, Boulder Ballet’s Claudia Anata Hubiak, Lance Hardin and Ana Claire, among many others from around the world. William Armstrong’s Unspoken highlights the choreography of the acclaimed Paul Lightfoot and has won the Judge’s Choice Award.
