This festival is curated by students at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. The two-hour festival will be held on its campus on Friday, May 3, and be open to the public. Likely, we will stream it as well.
There is no fee for submission, and we are open to all filmmakers in all genres, including documentaries. We are excited to witness the incredible creativity we know exists in films.
-Our submission window is open from February 3 to March 10.
-Submissions should be no longer than 15 minutes.
-All submissions should be sent as a .mov to me (mpulsine@msudenver.edu) and include a cc to jmill203@msudenver.edu, the faculty advisor for the MSU ShortFilmFest.
-If the primary language is not English, subtitles should be provided
-Individual filmmakers may send up to three submissions, but each one must be sent separately
-The accompanying email should include a brief description of the project and its maker.
All entrants that meet the above guidelines will be considered by small viewing groups, who will determine finalists for a larger body of student judges. Filmmakers will be informed by early April concerning our selections.
