Joseph is an Emmy-nominated cinematographer, drone operator, and camera specialist known for natural history filmmaking, commercial production, and broadcast television. He’s best known for his dynamic aerial cinematography, using advanced drone techniques to capture unique perspectives in some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments.
His passion for storytelling grew from a life spent outdoors—snowboarding, dirt biking, mountain biking, hiking, and camping—which naturally led to capturing the wild on camera. He has filmed globally in places like Iceland, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Indonesia, and Thailand, developing a reputation for bold, immersive visuals and the ability to adapt to high-stakes filming conditions.
In 2024, he was part of the cinematography team behind Our Living World, which earned two Emmy nominations: Outstanding Cinematography and Best Nature Documentary. His drone and camera work for Netflix, BBC Earth, and The Discovery Channel has been praised for its cinematic style and technical precision.
Regional press, including the Summit Daily, has highlighted his journey from adversity to a filmmaking career and his growing industry recognition.
When not on the road, Joseph enjoys time in the mountains with his husky, Wickett, and continues to pursue projects that combine creative storytelling, exploration, and a deep connection to the natural world.
