Casting “Alice’s Last Trip,” a modern retelling of “Alice in Wonderland” that is a statement on teenage drug abuse, peer pressure, and different ways people deal with guilt. Dark, tragic, and heavy. CHARACTERS:
CARTER LIDDLE/CHESHIRE CAT: 19, male, Al’s older cousin. Level Headed and logical but detached. Talks Alice through her time in Wonderland. Actor should be able to move with cat-like grace.
LORINA LIDDLE: 21, female, dating Charlie, Al’s sister. Mean to Al for no reason. Easily annoyed by her. Is the reason Al goes to the party but then blames herself for Al’s overdose.
CHARLIE COLLINS/CATERPILLAR: 22, male, dating Lorina. Maddy’s stoner older brother, directs Alice to the “Eat Me” cookies, which are actually just weed brownies. He convinces Alice to visit the Queen of Hearts.
QUINN HAYES/QUEEN OF HEARTS:18, female, dating Kyle, the most popular girl in school. Stereotypical popular high school mean girl. Is throwing the party.
KYLE HALL/KING OF HEARTS: 18, male, Quinn’s boyfriend, just kind of dumb and mean, but not as ruthless as Quinn.
CUP PONG PLAYERS/CARD KNIGHTS: 15-18, any gender. Is playing cup pong in the background of the party. Assists the King of Hearts in the kidnapping of the Mad Hatter and Blames Alice for the roses being painted red.
STUDENT 1/MOUSE: 15-19, female, Find the bag of drugs. Attends the Hatter’s tea party. Feisty.
STUDENT 2/HARE: 15-19, male, brings jello shots to the party. Attends the hatter’s party. Goofy.
TWINS: 15-18, any gender, Attends the Hatter’s tea party. Silly and chaotic. Think Fred and Geroge Weasley.
STUDENTS: 14-19, any gender. Background students and partygoers.
